Moon Days 2024

Days preceding the New and Full Moon are considered as auspicious in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition. There is no Morning Mysore class on those days.

New Moon

This phase marks the beginning of the lunar cycle, symbolizing a period of renewal and new beginnings. It's often associated with setting intentions, starting fresh, and planting seeds for future growth. Many individuals use the energy of the new moon for introspection, goal-setting, and initiating new projects or habits.

Full Moon

The full moon signifies completion, illumination, and heightened energy. It's a time when emotions can be more intense, and it's often linked to increased creativity and spiritual insights. Full moons are seen as opportunities for manifestation, releasing what no longer serves you, and celebrating achievements.

Both new moons and full moons hold unique energy that people tap into for various practices, rituals, or personal reflections. Some may engage in meditation, intention-setting, ceremonies, or specific activities aligned with these lunar phases to harness their respective energies and support personal growth, manifestation, and spiritual connection. This is why we do not hold Morning Mysore Classes ion these days.

Because we know, that not all of you practice daily, and that missing one day means missing the whole week - we still keep the evening classes on the day of the New and full moon.

Occasionally, to celebrate along with you, we offer a special class on the Moonday morning and we invite you to join these relaxing sessions with us.
